Le Président Macky Sall a eu hier un entretien avec le roi du Maroc, Mohamed VI qui lui a fait part d’une initiative visant à réunir quelques pays amis, dont le Sénégal, pour apporter une réponse solidaire et concertée contre la pandémie du Covid-19.
Le chef de l’Etat a remercié Mohamed VI pour cette heureuse initiative, et exprimé sa volonté d’œuvrer au succès de la démarche qui fera prochainement l’objet d’une visioconférence entre les Chefs d’Etat et de Gouvernement des pays concernés. Dans le même sens, il s’est entretenu avec l’ancien Premier ministre de la Grande Bretagne, Tony Blair, qui souhaitait s’informer de l’expérience sénégalaise de riposte du Covid-19.
Aussi, at-il remercié ce dernier pour sa disponibilité et celle de son institut GC pour collaborer avec le Sénégal au renforcement de ses capacités de riposte, et au plaidoyer international pour la relance économique post covid-19, notamment par l’annulation de la dette publique africaine.
